Sams Bakery & Cafe in Foxton looking for some full-time bakery Assistants to join our team, mainly responsible for assisting owner by performing routine food preparation, cleaning and storage tasks.
This is a full time permanent position, you will work 30-40 hours per week on the roster (minimum 30 hours guarantee) .We open 7 days a week from 5:30am, please be aware that you may need to work on early moorings, weekends and public holidays if required.
Key duties will include:
- gathering equipment in preparation for baking ingredients
- weighing and measuring ingredients
- washing, peeling, cutting, slicing and dicing ingredients for baking
- cutting and grinding ingredient in preparation for cooking
- removing food from ovens and food warmers
- washing work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware
- storing food supplies, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware in refrigerators, cupboards, pantries and other storage areas
- informing owner when food supplies are low
